Begonia - Black Fang (Updated 2021)

This look so similar to Black Velvet Begonia - the coloration and the velvety sheen that it glows in a slight angle when viewing.  The only one big set back is that this one utterly ruthless when it comes to sensitivity. They die a sudden death when it is stressed.

One of the main features of this one is the circular shell shape formation with tiny frills hairlike at leaf edges. Its a rhizome begonia thus they are surface dwellers. One good thing though - they don't need deep pots rather flat shallow pots are very ideal for their growth factor.

I had killed this one so many times that I had lost count.
Trying my best in countless times,
I had developed a strategy to plant them in every nook,
crook and corner thus they are growing everywhere.

Hopefully one day, it grows hardy in my garden takes more of the empty spaces.

CHARACTERISTICS:

The leaf formation appeared to be compact and small and doesn't grow bigger, also they tend to have a whiskers like feature at the edges of the leaves. One of the most prominent feature is the spiral formation similar like the escargot pattern. I would say this is a miniature type rather than a big leaf version.

This is a very sensitive plant and so do take care of overwatering issue and does not do well when over fertilized or stressed.
