Magic Moments in my Garden
It was a magical moment in my garden. I wouldn't say that I found fairies or angels visiting nor would I deny the factor of the presence when I just got mesmerised by the scent of Orange Jasmine blooms. They just cascade blooms over blooms and they trail of petals just littered all over the ground trailing plants. (Flame Violet)
And at the same moment my Ground Orchid bloomed - something that I considered a rare moment too as I had given up on their blooming attitude and opt. it as an alternative for a palm looking like plant.
And so, for the first time, I didn't go sniffing over the bloom as they had flooded the whole porch with their fragrance. For that one time I got double joy:
The first was the alternative week of Ylang-ylang fragrance and
The next was this - Orange Jasmine fragrance.
What more could I ask for my Valentine?
Truly it was a spiritual experience for me,
as if God visited my Garden.
To all my Garden Friends,
Have a heart warming Valentine!
Enjoy the moment with friends or family for they are truly your loved ones.

How wonderful to have that natural fragrant in your garden especially in Valentines Day. Hope you have a nice day with your family today.
That really is magical - how beautiful
And you deserved that magic, since you helped create it. It is amazing the gifts our God showers us with. I feel blessed to have health again.
Lovely ground orchid. I think that is so elegant.
I have the same flowers blooming too at the moment, all those 3 like yours. 2 types of jasmine are blooming now so my garden is sweet smelling with their fragrance and really nice while Im pottering around in my garden. Happy Valentine's Day James!
James: I wish I can be in your garden to enjoy those fragrant air! I have not personally smelled Ylang-ylang fragrance before, wish I can find it in blooming here. Congratulations to your ground orchid blooming, wonderful, isn't it? I have become fan of ground orchid, and find myself bringing more and more into my garden.
Here is the answer to your question "Does your parent brom plant dies after it flowers or gives pups." that you left on my blog. I should say they don't die right away. It takes the mother brom quite long time (several months) to die, almost seemed they are waiting for the pups big enough. One mother plant usually can produce more than two pups (depending on varieties) before she dies back.
Happy Valentines' Day!
Your garden sounds divine right now. I once had a Lakeview Jasmine tree that would just turn into a sea of white in its bloom time. Gorgeous! Seeing your blooms makes me miss it.
It's indeed magical! Perhaps your garden is rewarding you for all the hard work you have put last week hehe... I love your ground orchid. Its leaves are beautiful and the flowers so pretty.
The scent must be divine from those blossoms - is there a particular time of the day when it is more stronger?
Congratulations on getting your ground orchid to flower - it looks so beautiful.
Hi all, I had a have a crazy weekend:
my sister-in-law got bitten by a King Cobra, my bro. & his wife got into a big misunderstanding, we got an extra helping hand when a maid came in but change her mind as she became homesick and the another host of other things that came in the picture - by the time I got all of them sorted - Valentine just passed me by.
Thank you all for all the kind thoughts & greetings, appreciate it very much.
Hi James, in the last Horticulture exhibit here i saw an orange jasmine tagged as "Malaysian jasmine", maybe that's what you are referring to. I took its photo as i only saw it for the first time. However, the one i saw is not having lots of flowers but only 2 in its 1m tall trunk. How prolific it is, i still dont know, i wonder how it is like in Malaysia.
As a DIY gardener I couldn't agree with you more. We are the designers who created our own masterpiece. Oh, what a fulfilling experience. Magic moments it had to be!
