This is the continuation of the market scene.
These are grass - sold in a patches.

.
Geranium - very much identified as mosquito repellent (exact translation)
.
.
Avacados
.

.
Love this collection of waterlily, you can just carry it back, the root and all in a plastic bag.
(the rootball is tied in a plastic bag)
.

.
Ahhh.. African violets - lovely
.

.
More bromeliads
.

.
Can you see the plastic bag? (the root ball)
.

.
Varigated Bird Nest Fern
.
.
These known as air plants.
.
.
Wonder if these are Azaleas or Peony?
.
.
A lovely bunch of spider orchids in just a stalk
.

.
I got this one in my garden
.

.
A hot pink alamanda!
.
.
This is a white version
.
.
Another type of air plant
.
.
Orchid
.

.
This one is known as "Sarang Semut" translated as Ant Nest.
I wonder whether they are actually ant rest or a plant that resembles like it.
Again, its a medicinal herb plant.

.

.
Some polished seashells.
.

.
Is that a jaw of a shark?
.
.
I got more pictures fully detailed and arranged in my family blog.
I wanted to put all the pictures here but looking at my capacity (80% already occupied)
I doubt I may able to put everything here.
.
Do check it out if you have the time and have the thoughts of visiting Sabah. (North Borneo)
I have put in all the details there for anyone who is contemplating of going for a holiday there.

Hi James,
How I envy you being able to shop at this market. I suppose there is no problem taking them back to the mainland?

That's probably azalea. I am attracted to the plant in the sixth picture (the one after the weighing machine). Was the leaf thick?

Nice sea shells :-D What an interesting market.

That looks like a fun place to go window shopping! So many temptations! I would have certainly walked away with some broms...and an orchid or two. That ant's nest thing looks pretty interesting too.

Barry - One of the Flight protocols forbid taking life plants on board - so, I didn't buy anything to bring back to the mainland.

Stephanie - Really? I can hardly notice it, I guess its a hoya or a vine plant - If I can remember, it resembles a plant like the jewel orchid.

Nandita - Most Welcome Nandita,
you should click on link on (Sabah Holidays).
You will be amazed at the whole total collection of all the other pictures which I have not uploaded here, the market scene, fish spa, canopy walk, hot springs, etc.

Floridagirl - really fun but also very hot & humid.. sometimes that really tires a lot.
Good thing, the passion had overcome the fatigue. (I saw some ants around the ant's nest thing - so, it could be really its nest)

Wow, lots of lovely plants. I would love to get some orchids, and water lily too (only if I have a pond :) Those shells are very pretty, but I bet they are expensive too!

Did you bring home any sea-shells from Sabah, James? They look so lovely!
