I thought a lot to write about this round but now I'm lost for words.
I must say that I was so overwhelmed with lots of work this round that I needed so much attention to make sure everything went smoothly without any hiccups that I almost forgot to enjoy myself this round.
I'm actually very proud of KVPA and the members here that they are truly wonderful people who love gardening and plants and one can never find a place such as this anywhere in the world where people are generous and loving when it comes to Plants, Gardening & Friendship.
I wished I had more time to mingle and truly with those few hours, it just felt like a few minutes had passed and the event just finished after so many weeks of work put together - It really never felt enough.
Indeed it really took a roller coaster ride for a year - a marvelous journey of an explosive journey of friendships, plants and teachers - life lessons I learned along the way
I would like to share a few of my most joyful moments in this PAE:
My nephew was so excited to have the first hand experience of having a Plant Fair and it was like heaven for both of us. We co-vendored together and it was an amazing experience for me to have a family member who loves gardening and plants.
The joy of giving away my plants and seeing the excitement and joy receiving the plants - seeing in their eyes brings happiness to me.
Listening to the Ooohh... & Aahhs..
Like songs ringing to my heart - my plants found a new home
.
And each PAE I will tell myself
This is it.. I'm not buying any more plants - my garden is full.
And ended up fooling myself by buying more than what I sold and still managed to find space miraculously in my garden.
And each PAE I will tell myself

And ended up fooling myself by buying more than what I sold and still managed to find space miraculously in my garden.
This round I managed to get Philodendron gigas and melanochrysum - My dream plants within my budget price. I still remember Faiz Suboh saying the exact words: Say no more space but still buy more plants...
Finally
I really want to thank each one of you for making PAE a success - without you it would just be just like any other Plants Sale / Vendor Event.
Here everyone is warm, caring and personal. Also its truly a beautiful journey for me this year and I'm truly looking forward to many more wonderful PAE experiences.
I would also take this opportunity to thank everyone personally, especially those who went an extra mile to help me out and make everything smooth and easy transition in the process of this event.
I believe that it is no longer one man or one woman show but more of a co-operation of everyone putting their efforts together in making an event successful and a joyful celebration which I found in our recent get-together in Jenny's Residence
I hope in our next PAE, new organisers will able to take charge and do a better and more effective roles in leadership as I can proudly says with or without me - PAE will continue to grow and bless everyone in greater heights in the spirit of keeping the World Green.
Each PAE is different and unique.
My journey starts with PAE4 and finally the last one with a Christmas celebration.
I'm glad that I'm able to contribute a little as a year to these joyous occasions: PAE4 - PAE10 was such a beautiful experience that warms the heart.
Till then, Enjoy Gardening
Thank you.

My first time and not last!
Thank you to the organisers, sellers and gifters for a great event.
My girlfriend was "lost" in all the plant talk yesterday but I was happy!

Thanks to the last PAE with all the giftings and swaps, people around me have felt happier seeing the plants I bring into the office. They take their breaks in front of them. Just today my boss said, “Wow!
This place (arm sweeping to gesture at the corner full of plants) looks like a nursery already!”
And so I want to start thanking everyone in advance for your generosity this round too. Below is the plant I potted up from cuttings from Ho Yee Ning when I went to collect my plants early
(so that #pae10 got space to bring back others )
I mentioned I wanted some to make a bushy pot for my auntie colleague because she said although she never had green thumbs, she loved the burle marx I brought in (gifted from Pushpa Nair last PAE).
She asked for babies but Ho Yee Ning made it possible for a nice bushy plant instead.
So thanks again to all

This is my pae10 family photo after I potted up my acquisitions from the event.
This was my very first visit to PAE and for me as a hobbyist gardener, I consider my plant haul a resounding success!
I am so happy I got to meet and say hello to the inimitable admin Prof Chan, thank you for all you do for the group
I love the discorea discolor which I managed to score at a great price, the air plant which was also a super bargain (also forgot vendor # but it was the lady and husband with the gorgeous airplants). I also wanted to get a kokedama asparagus fern from them but unfortunately the budget didn’t allow for it as it all went to the Sansevieria Pinguicula which i got frm TC Lee who was the vendor stationed on the outside road! Thank you so much. It was a pleasure to chat with you and I really love this plant.
FInally, it would be remiss to not mention Vendor#2 (Faiz Suboh?), who so generously gave me the Sansevieria Moonshine after i told them the story of how mine died many years ago when i went away and my uncle watered all my Sansevierias EVERY DAY for two weeks lol. So kind lah the lady at the booth who insisted I have it for free even though I wanted to pay for it.
Anyway what a lovely event for the home gardeners and I hope to be a more active participant next year if time and schedule allows. I hope it was a success for everyone there, especially the vendors.

Darren Chow : Reflective ruminations
We have come so far as a group and as an event. We have grown, matured and evolved. What amazes me most about the group is the spirit of abundance and generosity! The spirit of sharing. The spirit to go on.
Hell not even the pandemic or the MCO could keep that spirit down. I have borne witness to phenomenons that I would never have anticipated or could possibly have imagined even in my most creative and imaginative drink induced state. Contactless plant exchanges? Yes we did it! I am smiling as I write this, visualising everyone's little baskets hung outside their gates, collecting my plants inside as I put back my little gift in return.
We had masked and socially distanced events. Did that ever happen? Yes it did! Reflecting back I recall an editor running around with a qr code chasing members around that were behaving like children in a candy store.
Sure there were some lows. Missing plants, taken unintentionally or otherwise. Disappointing and dissatisfying exchanges. Yes there were members that showed up with limp withered plants or a hastily plucked excuse of a cutting to request for someone's laboriously groomed floral masterpiece. Plant hoarders. Yes. More? Yes. Despite this, in my book, the good far outweighed the bad.
Hence the spark that set fire to a rambling that had to be penned.
Do not forget. Do not forget who we once were. Do not forget who we are.
Especially more so in the spirit of the season.
For those of you that have read this far my wish is that this rant finds you in the best of health. May your fingers forever remain as green as a jealous frog's envy and may your hearts aways bloom with good rhyme and reason.
And I miss our English teacher. Isabelle Lalita
Joy, beautiful spark of the gods,
Daughter of Elysium,
