I love Oncidiums partricularly the large ones. They are large but fewer on each flower spike. The white ones are strange to me though.

hello James... I've only grown a few orchids in my life... I've found that the more I fuss with them the quicker they die. To be fair, we don't really have a good climate for them here, so I leave them to those who have greenhouses and such, but these are beauties!

You are lucky to have treasures like this in your garden.
The large ones are rare in most nurseries but the white ones are getting common nowadays.
The leaves of the white ones are stiff and sharp too.
They are indeed commonly known as dancing lady orchid or golden showers.
And they indeed look like ladies wearing dresses.
It was more of a try and error.
These took awhile to grow and bloom.
somehow the manage to survive and finally bloom.

I came to know that there are some hardy ones that love the sun.
Perhaps if you plan to try again - go for the Vanda species - those that love direct sun.

There are some that I cannot have them in my garden which thrive in yours.
