CHARACTERISTICS:
At this moment there are so many new variants that it is somehow difficult to distinguish exactly the ID of a particular begonia unless if it comes from a reliable source. Sometimes, identifying exactly which particular one is it can be challenging.
However, I must say that Cane Begonias do have their similarities and in the case where if they are hardy and easy going in lowland climate - especially the parent plant, then in most cases, they do fair well in that condition when it comes to hybrids.
Here are the list of information for comparison version:
Begonia 'Sophie Cecile' - Larger broader leaves with Burgundy Tones
Begonia Aconitifolia - miniature version of 'Sophie Cecile' leaves with Burgundy Tones
Begonia Sylvia - similar like Begonia 'Sophie Cecile' but this one is very dark green in color and longer leaf structure with more pronounced in their lobe formation
Also I must also mention a disclaimer note to inform that when comparing both Begonia 'Sophie Cecile' and Begonia Sylvia and Begonia Sophia they all look alike.
And in some instances - these are also identified as Angel Wing Begonias.
Currently as I have noticed that this particular begonia is cultivated throughout the US/Europe region and have not really made its mark here in the South East Asia region - in way to say, these are still imported with premium prices and again in most cases, if the vendor is not well versed with the plant care - this particular begonia perish within few weeks due to stress and other factors of acclimatization issues.
