I would say among all the begonias,
This is the most available begonia plant and the last to be sold from the stand.
Often, many will refrain from taking in for weeks and
somehow these foliage will appear so worn out in the open without much care.
The reason is evident.
Many gardeners had failed to cultivate them and lost interest and these somehow looks more fake than real.
I had yet to see a huge established plant of this kind anyway in reality or in pictures.
And as often, the new leaves somehow looses the red sheen and flash back naked with the silver tones. (I hope the plant industry is not spraying dye on them)
Anyway, If this is truly a genuine plant without all those dye.
I would say, truly it's a beautiful remarkable plant to view in a grander scale of the red flashed iridescence leaves across the garden view.
The underside proves that this one is a Rex Begonia.
I had this plant once but it died on me but yet to cultivate this a second time.
IF you have your hands on this - do let me know your experience.
Here is the link where I had put together a list of all the begonias that I had come across. A database of all the different types & their characteristics. Please click on the link on the title above for the post.
