Caladium Collection
It would have been great if Caladiums can last more than a season. I guess as beauty dictates - they last only a season, more reason to cherish & admire them with their colourful foliage. Compared to old times, nowadays Caladiums are cultivated with many different varieties with their exquisite colours in their leaf-veins. All the more reasons to get them if you are a Caladium collector.

Caladiums are delightful when they are in season. The first one can almost pass as an Anthurium. You've got a good collection. Actually I have all of them except the first one. Some of them have never been resurrected after their hibernation.
Awesome, James... you have so many beauties in your collection! I enjoy their colourful variegation but would rather not have them in our garden since they go 'missing in action' during dormant periods. I prefer perennials - less maintenance and more reliable.
So many collection, it must be hard to pick a favourite cos they are all very special.
Nice to know that you have these in your garden.
We seemed to have similar interest in gardening too.
I totally agree with you.
Here I like the idea of fun - where these plants are not necessarily make the whole lot of my main garden but to enjoy them in a season a point when they are available.
It all started from one type of aroid to another.
That's how my garden suddenly appear to have so many different varieties of everything.
Caladiums are like rainbows - I enjoy them for a season.
I'm happy to know that you see them special.
They are indeed special to me too.
Thanks for liking them.
I am obsessed with caladiums. I have maybe fifteen different cultivars at the moment and buy new ones whenever I see one that I don't have. Some of the thai cultivars are really beautiful but they aren't as hardy as the american type. Caladiums would be almost perfect if not for their tendency to go dormant at times.
Caladiums have very pretty leaves are very noticeable once they appear! They give me surprises each time they return. There are so many to choose from right now and I wish to have them all. You have a beautiful collection of caladiums. Enjoy!
