These are the moment I'm scratching my head and wondering what to say,
"Ahh...Hmm..."(sigh!)
Its ridiculous actually, I just reset the whole thing and its not what intend it to be. Another few weeks & I'm sure the whole thing would turn into a blob of plants, I hardly can see the base of the pot now (making it more difficult for me to water)
Somehow, it look pretty in their own mess but should I make it neat and tidy?
Again, I really don't have the time & energy to do it.
What do you think dear gardeners?
Share with me your thoughts & ideas of what should I do concerning this.
Would consider this beautiful & keep it or prefer otherwise? (neat & tidy)

James, looks like you have lots of things to do in a few weeks time. But right now, it looks ok to me. You really have lots of nice green shrubs and ferns. Maybe just prune the overgrowns first. This may prolong the 'blob'. Also try to mix the fast growing with slow one so that they do not grow so fast in a group like that.
its looking good. just after the rains kind of garden view. water it with a sprinkler kind of arrangement..
James, the garden is like a canvas. You are the artist, so create your masterpiece. It can change every day.
Sometimes I spent hours doing and redoing just the branches of pothos. Sometimes I move the flower pots around like moving house furniture!
Actually I love the look of the first picture! But I also know that for them grow better, you might have to give them each a little bit more space. Maybe you can divide some of them out of that pot and move them into somewhere else? But again, then you might have to rearrage the remaining to keep them balanced. LOL. Sorry, this is what I usually do, move around, and kind of doing it in a flower arrangement way, only it involves the digging :)
Hi James, I won't read the other comments before I give my two cents of wisdom. I generally like it when plants are massed together.They can not always look tidy, because plants are living and have their moods of shedding leaves and spend flowers. I would leave the plants together but from time to time I would take one out and place it separate to clean and admire its uniqueness.
I also think that plants are happier growing together. It can also be a very rewarding hour of snipping here and there a little to give an other one a little more room. In the end it is your choice what ever you feel is right.

As I looked through the photos I thought to myself where is the picture James is talking about as it is looking great and lush exotic and jungly to me - something I expect when I read from a blog in your area of the world. I would just trim a few back alittle. Its not one big mass to me - I can see the individual plants quite distinctively there in the photos. You have a nice contrast of shapes and coloured leaves. Its a work of art my friend!

I think it looks pretty nice just the way it is. One day at a time.
It definitely looks great, James, but if it were in my garden space, I'd constantly check for ants making home in the cool space that the growth creates. Ants create such nonsense in tropical climates! Baaah! I hate 'em!

Is that a kind of asparagus in your last pic? It looks lacy and pretty.
I love the mixture of these plants. The way you blend everything in together. The Flame Violets might be teeny tiny but they make up for it in there bold red beauty. Very nice!
