Its been ages I had updated my blog. Seemed like forever when a lot of time had been devoted with family and mostly due to the overload of other priorities. Its just very tiring and the thought of watering the plants - so that they just survive for the day seemed to be the only motivating factor that kept me going.
And guess what - I'm one of the gardener that waters the garden past midnight.
Regardless, the beauty of these flowers in my garden continue to marvel me, even though my lack of zeal to care for them - they do somehow reward me with their beauty. (Well, not everything is blooming - but enough for the bees, butterflies and sunbirds to enjoy)
Sorry for the delay in commenting & replying in your blogs. Been so busy lately that I really do not have the time. I may be taking some time off from blogging until I sorted out some matters.

one of the pretty ones - they need good watering or else they wither away.

Spicy Japthopa - I had relocated it to a shaded area. Earlier they got infected with mealy bug and cause the buds not to bloom and slowly killing the plant.

hahaha James, i can see you're now back, good to hear from you once-in-a-while. It looks like your posts now are the miniatures, but they look beautiful. I can see you are now successful with that Episcia, which you call flame violets. It has many varieties, and the pink one has bigger, nicer leaves. By the way, if you don't mind, that one is Anthurium (not Arthrium, hehe). They seem to acknowledge your watering past midnight. Dont worry, take your time, take more rest and the stresses will go away!
Thanks Andrea - yeah, that flower's name seemed to be tough in the spelling sense and also seemed rarely flower in shaded area, too much sunlight and it give burn spots on the leaves. Thanks again for the assurance. Will catch up with you soon.

Your garden is doing great and seem to behave well when the master is busy. Angelonias can be easily propagated from stem cuttings. I have your costus too and I like their spiral stems.
That's a lot of flowers considering you haven't spend much time with them. I am glad it has been raining so I only need to water those in the pots. Take care.

I do so enjoy watering my plants, it's so relaxing, but water is quite expensive here in the valley, so much so that I consider having container plantings to be a luxury. I have only one small area with about five or six containers (and some less-demanding orchids, of course). One of my containers has an anthurium, which does not look as healthy as yours, I must admit. Your angelonia is also lovely! Anyway, do enjoy your watering!

Flowers are beautiful where ever they are. Even the most plain colour is still beautiful on a healthy plant.
Yea.., we do bump into hectic phase once in a while, and make adjustment accordingly. Gardening by then will be limited to feeding them.
