Begonia 'Lalomie'

I was a little skeptical about the red shade begonia but this one really proves to be a quite a survivor. When I got it, it was in bad shape, the edges was damaged, crest bruised and I was considering this a fragile plant.

Slowly but surely, this one slowly spring back to life with much glorious leaves showing quite a brilliance with violet edges. Little did I notice that this plant had morphed into a high level due to a better humidity and ideal conditions.

The back leaf however have the typical Begonia Rex pattern,
The red and patches at the center and edges with the mid green is very common among all Begonia Rex.

I would consider this one hardy begonia and would recommend this as a winner.

Here is the link where I had put together a list of all the begonias that I had come across. A database of all the different types & their characteristics. Please click on the link on the title above for the post.
