Begonia 'Burning Bush' - Part 2

CHARACTERISTICS:

I had mentioned in my other earlier post in comparison with this Begonia 'Burning Bush' and  Begonia 'Arabian Sunset' both had this dark foliage types of begonias - this particular one is all burgundy / bronze / red lacquered - whichever terms of colorations you want to mention it these tones fully covers the whole leaves through both front and back.

Another factor that  I must make mention is that this one seemed to be cultivated for ages - I can easily say that it was sort like past down from generation, sort of like an heirloom begonia plant.  Hence their hardiness is quite resilient when it comes to lowland climate where it can handle the weather very well especially both in sun and rain.

However to take note that the foliage can easily get damaged especially the burns along the foliage perimeter and often discolored to more on a faded tone when exposed too much to sun. They do however, thrive beautifully and often give out a glossy black tones when grown with adequate shaded lighting area.

Just to list for comparison sake:
Begonia 'Arabian Sunset' - has furry surface like spider on the foliage surface, leaves appears to have scallops like folds around the leaf perimeter

Begonia 'Burning Bush' - had exactly the same coloration however the foliage appears to be bigger, rounder and very much like a fan shaped in comparison

Begonia 'Serratipetala' appears to have a miniature version of Begonia 'Arabian Sunset' with pink dots on the leaf surface.
