Cane Begonia - Borneensis (white flowers)

CHARACTERISTICS:

This particular begonia has a bushy formation with glamorous bright green fancy frills foliage with tiny inflorescence of pale white tiny inflorescence. The flowers are not very showy but does generously produce many flowers with yellow stamens visible at flower edge giving a nice pendant like features.

Very similar to the other variety which has white flowers - this one exactly the same but with pink flowers. I also noticed that the pink variety has more rosy tones on the foliage whereas the white flower ones has more flushed green glossy tones on the foliage.

These are endemic to Labuan, Malaysia.

There are some varieties which is yet to be specifically identified where the foliage has many various features. It may or may not morph as it gets matures or perhaps different conditions may trigger such features.Or it may just be a new variant.

Just like most of the Borneo Begonia species - not much studies or conclusive research had been done so far for accurate information for this kind.

I would say, this one quite hardy for lowland climate cultivation.

Apart from this variation.
Other matters are very much similar with the general information about Cane Begonias.
