Dumbcane - Dieffenbachia Puerto Rico Variegated

I find currently that most gardeners and plant enthusiast seemed to fancy calling the plants by using their botanic name instead of the common household plant name.
The name "dumbcane" is slowly fading away.

This particular plant species Dieffenbachia was named after the head gardener of the Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Joseph Dieffenbach (1796–1863)

Appearance:

These foliage have a lance-like structure.
The leaves will be in stronger coloration of white splashes from the center covering the whole foliage with dark green edges and with slight fading of yellow tinge in between these coloration.

I find they revert into stronger green when they are placed in shade.
These also seemed to be a tall growing plant - they are not compact or rounded leaf types.

Light:
These can tolerate full sun with slight burns and yellowing but the ideal would be semi-shaded in bright areas as more white pigmentation formations will occur.

When in total shade, the foliage turns total green with few white/cream spots - somehow giving the appearance that is a different cultivar of dieffenbachia but actually it is this one.
Once it receives adequate light - it will revert back to all it's ideal colors.
