Bromeliad Collection

The Earthstar Bromeliad (Cryptanthus) had given out many pups that I had managed to filled them in this pot and also in few nice designated places to give a good impact in my garden. The pups seemed to grow fast & beautifully into adult stage & the older ones doubles its size.

The only thing is that Earthstars are rarely sold in nurseries.

If they are - you might find them hidden and kept aside as they are not popular any more.

Recently I went to Sg. Buloh nurseries to find any new stock for a different colours of this kind and came back disappointed as there was none.

I had placed some grass looking plants: Spider plants, Variegated Pandanus, Pineapples & Ground Orchid.
I like the grass-like effect in this area where the green blends well with white, yellow and cream together with some sprays of pink & red.

I really love colours in my garden - especially when they are leaves substituting the colourful flowers.
