Pitcher Plant - Nepenthes



I wanted to have an exotic look in my garden with some rare plants. I got an idea where I wanted to have some carnivorous plants and collect some nice specimens of these pitcher plants.

I manage to care for these 2 types of pitcher plants, but after awhile they became leggy and unattractive. My mum was very interested in having this plant and had passed to her and they seemed to doing OK.

    Hi James, I recently received some pitcher plant cuttings. what is the potting medium i should use? One of the cutting appears to be a horizontal vine-like stem, with the leaves growing along the stem. I am not even sure what kind of pitcher plant it is.

    Brede, the ideal medium is sphagnum moss mix with perlite. Do bag it inside a clear plastic bag for moisture retention.
