Chicken in the Ferns - Part 2

There is now 9 eggs now. The mother hen had gone for a quick breakfast feeding at the neighbours grounds. I had checked again on the second day and found that there is still 9 eggs - so I guess this is the "close shop" for the number of chicks that is going to be hatched.

If all goes well, they should hatch around 21 days - that is almost during the "Hari Raya" season.
What a festive mode: Laid eggs on Merdeka Day (Independance Day) and hatch on Hari Raya Day!

Notice the 3-3 arrangement in the sitting?

Mother hen.. moving away from me as I was taking this shot.

Sue - even this was a difficult shot, ran & flew away from me before I can raise the camera. Yes - must be camera shy.
